Getting back in the swing of things
Welcome to another issue of the 🦋 Friday Flutter Report 🦋
Each Friday, I write about one action from the week that I did in the hopes of sparking further inspiration/joy/improvement/whatever.
This week’s flutter - a nothing-fancy-beginner-level-easy-yoga class 🧘♀️
Why do we care? We’ve done yoga before?
Well, sometimes the only way out of a slump is to do something both fun and healthy.
I was sick for over a week and was having the hardest time getting back to reality. I felt guilty for not immediately wanting to jump back to my routine, but the idea of going full send into the gym and social activities felt dreadful. I knew I needed to do something to get my body moving and decided yoga was the most manageable (worst case scenario I could just stay in shavasana for the majority of class).
As it turned out, the class was perfect. I felt my body finally letting go of (some of) the tension I held all week. Most importantly, it unlocked the energy I needed to get back to the real world. I ended the week back in the gym and going to a trivia night with friends.
I guess it’s true what they say - sometimes the smallest movement really can make a big difference. (Now I just need to remember that moving forward. Why is it so easy to forget?? I guess that’s why I’m writing about it.)
